Choosing our Pitch

Image
Pitch 1: A little girl's imagination gets out of hand one afternoon. Pitch 2: A girl is doing homework when suddenly she finds a mysterious note left in her book for her. Pitch 3: A young mom is driving to pick up her son from school, when out of the blue and friend from her past comes her way. Pitch one is an ideal one for our group, as it can involve girl characters, and our group has four girls. This leaves us options for us to have someone to film, which is good so we don't have to go out of our way to find another cameraman. This, along with the fact that the wording allows for wiggle room, is a pro to pitch 1. However, we would have to take extra steps to find a little girl to play one of the parts, which adds a bit of a challenge, but I think our group is up for that. Pitch 2 is also a reasonable pitch for our group, because we can have one of us acting and the rest of us tackling other responsibilities. However, we are not sure how much we can do with the concept, so

Deciding my Partners

I'm Addison Walker, and today we chose our groups for the film project. I was beyond ecstatic to have friends who are taking the same class as me! Most of my classes I don't get to do projects with my friends, so I really enjoy Media Studies. Since I know a lot of people taking the class, I already knew who the general people in my group would be. Dara Sedaka, Mila and Violet Roberts are my friends in the class, and so we decided to be in a group together. It was easy to pick my partners, because we all collectively wanted to work together. We were debating on doing multiple genres and themes. We have to decide on a theme that we all collectively like. It also has to be easy to make a story out of. Dara and I both have a pretty broad taste in genres, so it wou

I would make little movies with my friends all the time growing up. In my middle school, we would always have to do projects where we make films. They were my absolute favorite thing to do. I would spend hours learning how to use iMovie and eventually got pretty good at it. It was so fun to learn how to edit and film properly on my own. My older sister, previously took Media Studies, and suggested I take it, too. So, when I chose my classes, I wrote down Media Studies as one of my first picks. I was so excited to take a class on one of my favorite activities to do. I also ended up having some of my friends in the class, too. I enjoyed the fact that we got to choose where we sat for the rest of the year. After hearing all the fun assignments we were going to do, I was ecstatic. When I heard our first project was going to be making a comm
