Deciding my Partners

I'm Addison Walker, and today we chose our groups for the film project. I was beyond ecstatic to have friends who are taking the same class as me! Most of my classes I don't get to do projects with my friends, so I really enjoy Media Studies. Since I know a lot of people taking the class, I already knew who the general people in my group would be. Dara Sedaka, Mila and Violet Roberts are my friends in the class, and so we decided to be in a group together. It was easy to pick my partners, because we all collectively wanted to work together. All of my partners were in the same period together, so it worked out perfectly and we have a group chat to communicate.

We all were excited to do this project together, and all had plenty of ideas on what to do. We were debating on doing multiple genres and themes. We have to decide on a theme that we all collectively like. It also has to be easy to make a story out of. Dara and I both have a pretty broad taste in genres, so it would be pretty easy to find one. It will also be easier because we all have a similar idea of the type of film we want to produce. We were also figuring out where to film it, but we haven't come up with anything yet.

Although I personally enjoy working alone, working in a group is much easier. When I was in middle school, I liked to make movies, flicks, and music videos. Making videos and the brainstorming process was a lot of fun. It was a significant amount of fun to modify it later, too. When working on projects like these, I tend to get overly excited and work too hard to complete the assignment. As a result of my need for perfection, I frequently end up doing everything myself. Since then, I've made a lot of progress, and I now make a great group member. The prospect of collaborating on this project with my team is really exciting to me.
